Authentic Italian Meatball Recipe

- 1 tablespoon olive oil extra virgin
- 1/2 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/4 cup onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic diced
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil chopped
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F and line a rimmed baking sheet tray with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the heavy cream and breadcrumbs together.
Add the remaining ingredients to the mixing bowl and mix well. Use your hands to really rub all of the ingredients together.
Scoop the meatballs into two-inch balls and roll them together with your hands.
Place the meatballs on the prepared tray and bake for 20 minutes. The meatballs will look juicy but the bottoms will be golden browned. The internal temperature of the meatballs will be 165 degrees F.
